Founder Rubbish London Brand
Matt founded Rubbish London in 2019, driven by a mission to transform textile waste into sustainable fashion. What began as a passion project evolved into a deeper exploration of circularity and environmental responsibility.
Initially an advocate for recycled materials, Matt soon uncovered the environmental shortcomings of recycled polyester — a turning point that led him to seek a truly sustainable alternative. In 2022, he partnered with material science and recycling technology experts across the globe to pioneer the first clothing made entirely from 100% recycled cotton.
Following a major breakthrough in 2023, Matt is now focused on scaling this innovation and making the circular process financially viable. His journey is one of continuous learning, challenge, and bold experimentation — all in pursuit of a more sustainable fashion future.
