A short subhead intro here

hewn.

hewn.

[hjʉ́wn] | definition: crafted from natural materials.

Founded after 15 years in the fashion industry, hewn was born in the old cotton mills of Ancoats, Manchester, UK to start to address the damage that the clothing industry does to the planet by making more responsible choices, ground-up.

Crafted exclusively with premium organic cotton the impact reduction from chemical, water and greenhouse gases is vast when compared to conventional or synthetic alternatives. And whether it’s our twin-stitched seams, or heavier-than-average weights, we’ve crafted our range to last, letting you buy better and less. Enhancing the emphasis on our mission we also plant 2 trees for every item that we sell, and donate unsellable items to our charity partner, Mustard Tree. Our choices go beyond just material consciousness, whether that’s ethical, fair and audited suppliers to partnerships with businesses and brands that share our values we’re out to prove once-and-for-all that good clothes don’t have to cost the Earth.

By focussing our first collection on wardrobe essentials in over a dozen nature-inspired hue’s, our goal is to minimise the impact on the planet of the items you use the most. There’s nothing worse than having that layering piece piece you love, that gets changed and can never buy again, but once you’ve found a fit for you at hewn, you can come back again and again knowing we have consistency in what we do.
