Author & Lifestyle Journalist
Lauren Bravo is an author and award-winning lifestyle journalist who focuses on sustainability and ethics in fashion, the psychology of dressing and how we can get the most out of the clothes we already own. A reformed fast fashion shopper, in 2019 she challenged herself to go a year without buying any new clothes. The result was her book How To Break Up With Fast Fashion: a guilt-free guide to changing the way you shop – for good – a funny, accessible and non-judgemental handbook to help people step away from the high street and forge a saner, more sustainable, more joyful relationship with our wardrobes. Lauren is also a devoted thrifter who spent five years volunteering in a charity shop, and her debut novel Preloved draws on those experiences and celebrates the hidden stories in secondhand items. “Political, delightful and very very funny.” – Nell Frizzell
